LEARNING LIVE 2011 took place at the Birmingham Hilton Metropole on 13-14 September. The event has received outstanding feedback and has certainly left its mark on workplace learning with the launch of the new Learning & Performance Institute and an inspirational keynote from Lord Robert Winston.

Across the two day event hundreds of learning professionals passed through the revolving doors at the Hilton Metropole and all those who attended the event will have much to look back on. Some of the highlights from this year included:

Lord Robert Winston blew delegates away with his keynote which explored the link between the human brain and learning

Institute Chairman, Donald H Taylor took to the stage to introduce the new Learning and Performance Institute

With drinks in hand...the networking dinner gave delegates the chance to unwind and network with fellow delegates, exhibitors and speakers

The LEARNING LIVE Exhibition was always busy as exhibitors demoed their latest products and services.

The whole event was covered across social media, if you missed LEARNING LIVE you can find a great overview courtesy of Training Zone here. You can also read a review by one of our delegates here.

Otherwise simply search for #learninglive to pick up some of the comments. We've also picked out some of our favourites from LEARNING LIVE 2011:

@C4LPT Just back from #learninglive and it is clear, Performance is the new Learning
@BlackboardProEd Definitely recommend that you follow the #LearningLive hashtag for #training and #development points coming from @YourLPI's conference
