Success by Numbers...
The Certified Online Learning Facilitator (COLF) course celebrated its 1st birthday earlier this month. To mark the occasion The Learning and Performance Institute surveyed over 250 COLF delegates to measure the impact of the course on their day to day activities.

According to the research 94% of trainers believe the COLF course has improved their ability to deliver engaging live online learning events.
Over 62% also believe that the COLF course has enabled them to deliver more training.
Deborah Williams, Training Manager, SNR Denton studied for the COLF course in June 2011. Commenting on her experience she said:

“The COLF course has enabled us to take our classroom training skills and transfer them into a virtual classroom environment comfortably and deliver training of the same quality. We've even take some elements learnt on the COLF course back to our Classroom Training! Excellent Course.” Deborah Williams, IS Training Manager, SNR Denton

Further results from the Institute's research showed that a third of trainers surveyed had been able to reduce their training delivery time by over 40%.
To celebrate COLF's birthday The Learning and Performance Institute will be issuing a specially designed COLF logo to all trainers who pass the COLF course. The logo will clearly identify them as COLF certified trainers.
Architect behind the course and Institute Chief Executive, Colin Steed said: "By focusing solely on a trainer's online delivery skills as opposed to the software used to facilitate online training - the COLF course is not specific to any particular vendor. In the short space of 12 months the course has grown to become the recognised standard for online training delivery and is already being used by some of the world's largest brands."
