The Fellows' Symposium is an invitation only event hosted by The Learning and Performance Institute.
Designed for senior level learning professionals, attendees to the Fellows' Symposium are selected by the Institute based on their knowledge, influence and experience within the workplace learning sector. This unique event brings together the heads of learning from some of the UK's largest organisations, including a number of FTSE 250 organisations, for an afternoon of networking and inclusive debate. Chris Bones, Dean Emeritus, Henley Business School and Professor of Creativity and Leadership, Manchester Business School
After a long and successful career in industry, Professor Christopher Bones is now a leading light in academia and is the ideal person to address the first LPI Fellows' Symposium. The Professor of Creativity and Leadership, Manchester Business School, Chris was previously Group Organisation Eectiveness and Development Director for Cadbury Schweppes, which he joined in 1999, taking responsibility for Executive Education and Develpment Culture, Communications, Change, Knowledge Management and Capability Development.

David Wilson, Managing Director, Elearnity
David Wilson is one of the leading authorities on e-learning and learning innovation within Europe. A major commentator on the e-learning industry since its inception, David is a strategic advisor to many major corporate and e-learning organisations, and is the author of over 130 research papers and articles on e-learning and learning innovation.

Laura Overton, Managing Director, Towards Maturity
Laura has over two decades of experience in the corporate learning industry, helping adopters of workplace elearning develop sustainable elearning strategies aligned to business objectives. She is currently based at e-Skills UK (the Sector Skills Council for IT and Telecoms) where she is, leading the Towards Maturity Project, which aims to identify and share effective elearning practices amongst employers and learning providers responsible for delivering effective skills to the workplace.

David Mallon, Principal Analyst, Bersin & Associates
David Mallon directs Bersin & Associates' research in learning. Mallon is responsible for major industry studies including High Impact Learning Culture, Learning Management Systems, and High Impact Learning Practices. He has more than a decade of experience in corporate learning strategies, programs, and processes, and in the selection and implementation of learning and performance solutions and related technologies. Mallon is a frequent presenter at key industry events such as Learning Technologies and the e-Learning Guild.

A noted author, speaker, and experiential learning visionary, Michael Watkins brings over 16 years of educational innovation to his role as Director of Instructional Design and Technology for Toolwire, Inc. As a technologist, Michael holds over 20 industry certications and has helped hundreds of thousands of learners achieve success through his lectures, books, workshops, and experiential learning solutions.
Donald H Taylor, Chairman, Learning & Performance Institute
Donald H Taylor is the chairman of both the Learning and Performance Institute, and the Learning Skills Group. He is an influential writer and speaker in the field of technology-supported learning. Donald has over two decades experience in L&D and IT. Donald’s career has involved a range of operational and board level positions in classroom training. He was the 2007 recipient of the Colin Corder award for services to IT Training and has chaired the Learning Technologies Conference since 2000.
