Gives you the skills, knowledge and experience to:
Although some training/facilitating experience is beneficial, it is not mandatory as the essentials are covered in the course. If this is the case you may expect to spend more time in the self-directed study assignments.
The course is comprised of live, online moderated workshops using web conferencing software blended with self-directed study assignments.
If you do not have access to your organisation’s web conferencing software to practice, we will ensure you are allocated practice sessions. You will also have access to live, online tutor support throughout the course.
The Certification is based on:
Delegates who pass the assignments are awarded the COLF Certification (issued by The Learning and Performance Institute) and permitted to use the official COLF logo on all personal stationery.
Individuals whose current or future job responsibilities include facilitating live online learning events, such as courses, meetings, webinars or web conferences, for their internal/external clients (irrespective of the content). The course is especially beneficial for individuals or teams currently having to travel to deliver training and in doing so incurring associated costs.
The average number of study hours for the course is as follows:
Delivery times can be tailored to suit specific requirements, so please contact us to arrange a closed course. Otherwise, you can apply for any of the public scheduled courses.
This is an invaluable certification for anyone who want to excel in this space. The classroom and on-line instruction can be very different. Having a validated certification is a must to be successful this emerging and powerful discipline. LPI is raising the bar once again!
I can testify that following the COLF workshop has been a positive learning experience for me and will recommend this workshop to any trainers thinking of taking the steps to on-line and/or blending training further.
All of us agreed wholeheartedly that the course was amazing and we learnt a lot from being involved.
Organisations are looking for improved flexibility and efficiency by delivering events and train- ing online. A common - and costly - mistake is to assume that the same skills are required for both live and online formats. Delivering successful online events requires a specific skill set, and it is good to see that the Institute offers credible learning and certification in this area.
Without the skills learnt on the COLF course my live online courses would not be as effective. I thoroughly enjoyed this course and as a result love designing and delivering the live online courses we now offer.
The COLF course has enabled us to take our classroom training skills and transfer them into a virtual classroom environment comfortably and deliver training of the same quality. We've even taken some elements learnt on the COLF course back to our Classroom Training! Excellent Course!
I would just like to say how much I enjoyed the course, not just the online learning but also your choices for the self directed study element. The breadth of the course offers excellent value for money in my opinion and I will have no hesitation in recommending it to others.
I enjoyed the sessions immensely and learned a great deal about online interactions as well as the training specifics. We’re already looking at what courses/sessions we can look at with a view to using Webex to deliver.
The course and facilitator really were excellent, and all the team have given positive feedback about the sessions. I now feel equipped with a group of Trainers that have a greater under- standing of delivering online training. They are still nervous about ‘going live’, but they have the best start to ensure we can run sessions with confidence. In addition, I feel confident that the sessions we deliver will be of high enough quality to engage people and appreciate this new method of training in Kent.
This was an excellent session, where the summary served to bring everything together really well. The positive enforcement of the message to the group that “we are all on target” was a good thing. And our facilitator was the perfect example of what standard we should all be aspiring to achieve. I recently presented my experience of the COLF course to the Rolls-Royce training community. The audience was left in no doubt of my enthusiasm of this training and the additional capability it will provide to Rolls-Royce trainers.
I could have spent all day in this class without noticing! I’ve never enjoyed a virtual class as much as this! I felt the content was amazingly relevant to my role and the presenter did an excellent job of relating it to my everyday work. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time – thank you for such an engaging and wonderful session.
I found the course excellent and have definitely been able to improve my sessions from the information I have learned. Looking forward to receiving the certificate!
